The Chinese Football Association (CFA) announced on Tuesday it will form a national esports football team and is inviting cities across the country to apply as host locations for training and competition.
According to a notice published on CFA's official website, the team will compete in various e-football tournaments organized by FIFA, the Asian Football Confederation and other organizations.
To ensure thorough preparation and participation, the CFA is publicly seeking regional partners to host the national e-football team. Requirements include venue support, event operations, accommodation and services, as well as funding conditions.
Prospective host cities are expected to provide training facilities and competition venues that meet the technical standards and requirements of e-football. Basic conditions such as a stable high-speed internet connection and compatible power systems should be in place. Both the hardware and software of the venues should remain in good working condition throughout the national team's training and competitions, and timely maintenance and repairs should be provided as needed.
Applicants should have experience in organizing e-sports events and the capability to support professional teams. They should be able to host test matches, selection tournaments and international invitational events in accordance with technical guidelines and operational standards.
Additional responsibilities include providing necessary support in areas such as transportation, accommodations, medical services and media promotion. They should also organize personnel and teams to deliver comprehensive services for the national team's training and competitions.
Host cities will be primarily responsible for covering expenses related to the national team's training and competitions, including accommodations, transportation, venue rental, security, medical services, insurance, and venue upgrades and maintenance, as well as other necessary costs associated with team preparation and participation.
Interested parties must submit a letter of intent and basic information form via email. The CFA will conduct on-site evaluations and request additional materials if needed before making a final decision.
